Tuesday, April 5, 2005 - Jay Carter, Psy. D. “Bipolar: A New Slant” Dr. Carter is a Licensed Psychologist, and has been featured on the “Larry King Show”, “The Monte! Williams Show”, and the “Rolanda Show”. He is• the author of the best selling book, “Nasty People”. Dr. Carter is the past president of the Berks Area Psychological Society. He was an executive manager for IBM Corporation.
Monday, April 18, 2005 - David Anderson Brown and 18 year old daughter, Emily, from Camp Hill, PA will share their personal story, Mr. Brown serves on the NAMI State Board of Directors, Emily was diagnosed with bipolar illness while in high school
Saturday, April 30, 2005 - NAMI Berks County will host a pizza and karaoke night for consumers and family members, come and join the fun!
Tuesday, May 3, 2005 - Consumer Recovery Group Family Share Meeting A consumer or family member will share their personal story
Monday, May 16, 2005 - Ellen Perricci, M.D., and Mary Thompson, Ph.D., from Wernersville State Hospital will provide an education program on schizophrenia and anxiety disorders
Tuesday, June 7, 2005 - Consumer Recovery Group Family Share Meeting A consumer or family member will share their personal story
Monday, June 20, 2005 - An education meeting will be provided by Service Access & Management (SAM), Treatment Access and Services Center (TASC), Threshold Rehabilitation Services, Supportive Concepts, Mosaic House, and Circle of Friends Drop In Center
All meetings are free and open to the public.

NAMI Pennsylvania Bucks Resiliency Conference 2005

Bucks County is planning a Resiliency Conference for parents, caregivers and professionals who care or have cared for CHILDREN with mental health issues on June 9, 2005 from 12:30-7:30. NAMI has been asked to identify parents/guardians who would be willing to volunteer at this conference in various capacities.
