Many individuals who are diagnosed with behavioral health issues also may be dealing with physical health problems. Treating “the whole individual” by ensuring physical health and behavioral health collaboration is essential to provide the best outcomes possible. Whether you are a family member, individual in treatment, or provider of services, this topic should be of interest to you.
Keynote Speakers
Loren Crabtree, MD has a 40 yr. career in psychiatry; is co-founder and Medical Director of Project Transition; and has helped adolescents and adults with serious mental illnesses in outpatient, inpatient, and residential settings. As a recipient of a national Lilly Reintegration Award, Dr. Crabtree was intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, has published more than 20 articles, and has presented to many professional, family, and consumer audiences.
Jack Gomberg, MD is Chief Medical Officer of Project Transition and has been treating adolescents and adults in outpatient, inpatient and residential settings for over thirty years, throughout the greater Philadelphia region. He is the Consulting Psychiatrist to Carson Valley School; a member of the Affiliate Medical Staff at Friends Hospital; an Associate Professor of Psychiatry in the School of Nursing at Drexel Hahnemann University; and a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
Trent Tangen, MA, HLC specializes in wellness-based approaches to psychiatric rehabilitation and recovery. He is the Assistant Director of Wellness at Project Transition, as well as the current Wellness Specialist for one of Project Transition’s Philadelphia-based programs. Trent’s degrees are in Physical Education and the Scientific Basis of Physical Education. He is also certified as a Holistic Lifestyle Coach.
Who Should Attend: Families; consumers; mental health & drug and alcohol treatment providers; clinicians; clinical supervisors and directors; physicians; nurses; prevention specialists; peer supports; and any other parties interested in this topic.
