Our speaker, Nadine Hoch, is the Executive Director of Planned
Lifetime Assistance Network of Pennsylvania (PLAN of PA), as well
as Treasurer of NAMI, PA Main Line. Nadine received her bachelor’s
degree from Ohio State University and her master’s from Case
Western Reserve University. She has over twenty years of social
work experience, with the last eight at PLAN and the last three
as executive director.
PLAN is a private, non-profit case management organization that
provides a wide variety of services to adults with mental illness,
mental retardation, brain injury or autism and to their families.
The most frequent request for service at PLAN is for appropriate,
safe and affordable housing. Housing can be a complicated road to
navigate with consideration to public or private facilities, various
levels of supervision, bringing in outside support services to a
client living independently, roommate possibilities, and establishing
residency in a particular county. At the March 14 meeting, Nadine
Hoch will summarize her broad experience and knowledge of the whole
range of housing options in this area and will answer your questions.
PLAN provides case management, future planning, special needs
trust and representative payee services to approximately 250 people
in the five county Philadelphia area. PLAN’s goal is to help
our clients reach their highest level of independence and live as
fulfilling a life as possible”. Areas of need include housing,
medication monitoring, assuring all available public benefits are
in place, and connecting clients with community resources. PLAN
develops a care plan that is specific and unique to each of its
clients, so that individual needs are always addressed. Our client
families report they feel less stress knowing their family member
will be cared for when the primary caretaker is unable to do so.
Thank you for your continued support of our outreach to the community.
Sincerely yours,
Brewster Fay
