Workshop Information:
- “Planning for Success”
Learn why effective planning is necessary and why it is important
to have a mission statement. Understand how to do your homework
and set realistic goals and objectives.
- “Getting & Keeping Your Group Organized”
Understand how to get and keep your group organized. Learn how
to identify your organization’s strengths. Also learn effective
time management tips and how to conduct effective meetings.
- “Networking, Getting a Louder Voice”
Learn how to network for information and for effective advocacy.
Also, learn how coalitions can help your organization accomplish
its major goals.
- “Deciding Which Advocacy Actions to Take”
Increase your awareness of different advocacy approaches. Understand
the factors that need to be considered in deciding which advocacy
approach to take.
Also, learn how your group or organization can receive training
and/or consultation regarding a specific advocacy topic.

No charge for the workshop, just ($5.00 fee to defray lunch cost).
Reasonable Accommodations, such as interpreters and attendants,
are available upon request (with 2 weeks notice). Request for material

made 2 weeks prior to the workshop.
