Press Release

Date: April 29, 2009
Contact Person: Rose Alberghini

May is Mental Health Month. National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) York County is celebrating with a light-hearted presentation called “Laugh to Live.” The presentation will take place on Tuesday, May 19 from 7:00-8:30 pm at the Luther Memorial Church, 1907 Hollywood Drive, York. The featured speaker is April Mooney. April lives with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and had the privilege of being chosen to attend OCD Camp through The Oprah Winfrey Show. She will share highlights of the show, which aired in May 2008, and talk about her own recovery, which her sense of humor has played a big part of. Light refreshments will be served. This special meeting will be in addition to the regular support group meeting, which is held the first Tuesday of the month. Call 717-848-3784 for further information.
